Should students wear school uniforms?166 words
In my opinion, students should wear school uniforms, and I feel quite strongly about this. My first reason is that uniforms reduce social pressure and bullying. When everyone wears the same thing, students aren't judged on whether they can afford trendy clothes, and I saw this myself; my cousin's school introduced uniforms and the teasing about brands almost disappeared. My second reason is that uniforms save time and stress every morning. Instead of agonising over outfits, students simply get dressed and focus on school, which sets a more serious tone for learning. For example, I always got ready far faster on uniform days than on casual ones. Now, I do acknowledge the counterargument that uniforms limit self-expression, and that's a fair concern for teenagers finding their identity. However, students can express themselves through clubs, art, and how they treat others, which matters far more than clothing. So overall, I firmly believe the benefits of fairness and focus clearly outweigh the loss of a little fashion freedom.
