Dear Mark,

I hope you and your family are doing well. I am writing about your dog, Buster, whose barking has been affecting our sleep over the past few weeks.

I completely understand that dogs bark sometimes, and I know Buster is a friendly dog - my kids absolutely adore him. However, the barking usually starts after midnight and continues for an hour or more, and since my wife has an early shift at the hospital, the broken sleep is becoming quite difficult for us.

Would it be possible to keep Buster inside after 11 p.m., or perhaps try a short training program? I am happy to recommend the trainer we used for our own dog if that helps, and we could even watch Buster for you when you travel.

Subject: A Small Concern About the Heating in Unit 304

Dear Mrs. Petrov,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing about the heater in our living room, which has been affecting our comfort since the cold weather arrived last week.

I understand that the building is older and that you have already scheduled the annual maintenance for next month. However, the heater now makes a loud rattling noise and barely warms the room, and with two young children at home, the evening temperature feels far too low for them.

Would it be possible to have a technician look at it this week instead of waiting for the scheduled visit? I am happy to be home at any time that suits the repair person, and I can send you a short video of the noise if that would be useful.
