Yukon PNP (YNP)
Streams, English levels and how to apply
The YNP has 3 streams for foreign workers. Your Yukon employer applies for you. The streams need CLB 4 to CLB 7 in English, depending on the job, and the Express Entry stream adds 600 CRS points. See which stream fits you.

Yukon PNP at a glance
3 worker streams
Skilled Worker (TEER 0–3), Critical Impact Worker (TEER 4–5) and Express Entry (TEER 0–3). Only employers can apply, not workers.
CLB 4 to CLB 7
CLB 4 for TEER 4–5 jobs, CLB 5 for TEER 2–3 jobs, and CLB 6 for TEER 0–1 jobs. The Express Entry stream page asks for CLB 7 for TEER 0–1 jobs.
2026 intakes are closed
Employers submitted Expressions of Interest in January and July 2026. Both intakes are closed. Yukon expects program changes to begin in 2027.
282 nominations in 2026
IRCC gave Yukon a maximum of 282 nominations for 2026. Yukon must use them by December 31, 2026.
Language tests and EOI points
Yukon accepts only original test results from a designated testing organization, and the results must be less than 2 years old. Yukon pages do not list the English tests by name. For Express Entry, IRCC accepts CELPIP-General, IELTS General Training and PTE Core for English, and TEF Canada and TCF Canada for French. The 2026 EOI grid gives no points for English. It gives 5 points to a candidate with a TEF or TCF result of CLB/NCLC 5 or higher in all four abilities.
YNP streams and English minimums
The TEER of the job decides the stream. Each stream needs a full-time job offer from a Yukon employer, and the employer submits the application.
| Stream | Who it is for | Express Entry | Yukon job offer | Minimum English |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skilled Worker | Workers in management jobs or jobs that need more education (TEER 0–3), with 12 months of relevant work experience and at least a high school diploma. | No | Required, full-time | CLB 6 for TEER 0–1, CLB 5 for TEER 2–3 |
| Critical Impact Worker | Workers in entry-level jobs (TEER 4–5), with 6 months of relevant work experience and at least a high school diploma. | No | Required, full-time | CLB 4 |
| Express Entry | Workers in the IRCC Express Entry pool under the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker or Federal Skilled Trades program, in a TEER 0–3 job, with 6 months of relevant work experience. | Yes | Required, full-time | CLB 7 for TEER 0–1, CLB 5 for TEER 2–3 (the main YNP page says CLB 6 for TEER 0–1) |
Changes to know
- The Yukon Community Program pilot ended on June 30, 2025.
- Both 2026 Expression of Interest intakes are closed (January 19–30 and July 6–17, 2026). EOIs from earlier intakes do not carry over.
- Yukon held a public engagement on the YNP that closed on October 8, 2026. It expects changes to begin in 2027.
How to apply
The employer advertises the job
The employer advertises the job in Canada for at least 4 weeks, in at least 3 places, including the Canada Job Bank. The employer must pay at least the Yukon median wage for the job.
The employer submits an Expression of Interest
During an intake, the employer completes an online EOI form and a consent form. In 2026 the intakes were January 19–30 and July 6–17. Workers cannot submit an EOI.
Invitation and information session
Yukon invites the highest-scoring EOIs. Invited employers must attend an information session.
The employer submits the application
Submit the full application in hard copy, in person or by mail, before the deadline. In 2026 the deadlines were March 4 and August 26 at 4:30 pm. There is no fee to apply to the YNP in 2026.
Nomination and permanent residence
If Yukon approves the application, the employer and the nominee sign a Tripartite Agreement in person. The nominee must apply to IRCC for permanent residence within 6 months. In the Express Entry stream, the nomination adds 600 CRS points.

Yukon EOI points calculator
Estimate the Expression of Interest score for a Yukon Nominee Program candidate. Yukon scores each EOI on its 2026 priorities and invites the top scores in each round.
This is Yukon's 2026 EOI grid. Both 2026 intakes are closed, and Yukon expects program changes to begin in 2027. The grid for the next intake may differ.
Choose an answer for every visible question to see your estimated score.
Based on the YNP 2026 Operational Guidance (yukon.ca, updated July 3, 2026). Yukon does not print a maximum score: 20 is the sum of the top points on each line. We read ">1 yr" as "more than 1 year". The grid gives no points for English. If scores are equal, Yukon first picks the candidate who has lived and worked in Yukon the longest. Your official score is the one Yukon assigns.
Reach your Yukon CLB level with CELPIP
Yukon streams need CLB 4 to CLB 7, depending on the TEER of the job. IRCC accepts CELPIP-General for Express Entry, and CELPIP levels match CLB levels one to one.
- CELPIP 4 = CLB 4
- CELPIP 5 = CLB 5
- CELPIP 6 = CLB 6
- CELPIP 7 = CLB 7
- CELPIP 8 = CLB 8
- CELPIP 9 = CLB 9
- CELPIP 10 = CLB 10

Yukon PNP questions
What English level does the Yukon PNP need?
It depends on the TEER of the job: CLB 4 for TEER 4–5, CLB 5 for TEER 2–3 and CLB 6 for TEER 0–1. For the Express Entry stream, the stream page asks for CLB 7 for TEER 0–1 jobs. Results must be less than 2 years old.
Does a Yukon nomination add 600 CRS points?
Only through the Yukon Express Entry stream. The worker must be in the Express Entry pool under the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker or Federal Skilled Trades program. The Skilled Worker and Critical Impact Worker streams are not Express Entry streams.
Can I apply to the YNP myself?
No. The YNP is employer-driven. Only a Yukon employer can submit the EOI and the application, for a full-time, year-round job. You need a full-time job offer from that employer.
How much does it cost?
There is no fee to apply to the YNP in 2026. The employer pays the employer compliance fee to IRCC. The employer cannot charge the worker any fees for the application.
How are EOIs ranked?
Yukon scores each EOI on its 2026 priorities: regulated health care 8 points, French speaker 5, time living and working in Yukon up to 4, Intake 1 result up to 2, and Yukon University graduate 1. Ties go to the candidate who has lived and worked in Yukon the longest, then to the work permit that expires soonest.
Is the YNP open now?
Both 2026 EOI intakes are closed. Yukon had 282 nominations for 2026, which it must use by December 31, 2026. Yukon expects program changes to begin in 2027, so check yukon.ca for the next intake.
