CELPIP-General tests all four abilities — listening, reading, writing and speaking — and takes about 3 hours. CELPIP-General LS tests listening and speaking only and takes about 1 hour 10 minutes. The listening and speaking parts are the same in both tests. See the CELPIP-General LS guide.

For Canadian citizenship, IRCC accepts either test. You need level 4 or higher in listening and in speaking, so LS is the shorter option. For Express Entry and other permanent residence programs, you need CELPIP-General, because they need results in all four abilities.

Yes. Every mock test has an LS mode with only the listening and speaking sections. You can also set your test type to CELPIP General LS in your account, so your practice focuses on those two sections.

Open a template in the Templates Library, study Template 1 (free) with its sample answers, then use the linked real prompts to write or record your own answer following that structure. Reuse the same skeleton across practice questions until it's automatic, and submit your Writing and Speaking tasks for instant scoring to confirm the structure is lifting your Task Response and Coherence scores.

Open any completed attempt to review it question by question — you'll see your answer next to the correct one with an explanation for each item, and for Writing and Speaking your instant score breakdown with feedback. Use it to spot recurring mistakes and target your next practice session. Writing also offers 3 different templates to model your answer on.

Yes. Go to Account → Language and choose 简体中文 (Simplified) or 繁體中文 (Traditional). This sets your display language plus the language of your Writing & Speaking feedback and the Reading & Listening answer explanations. You can change it anytime.

Every Writing and Speaking task is scored against the official CELPIP evaluation dimensions — Content/Coherence, Vocabulary, Readability, and Task Fulfillment — with feedback on what to fix. Treat it as a close estimate to guide practice: it isn't an official Paragon score, but it reliably shows whether your responses are trending toward your target level.

A Mock Test is a timed, exam-style simulation, so the clock runs like the real test — plan to sit each section in one go. You do choose which sections to take, and each section you finish is saved, so you can complete the remaining sections in a later session.

Open the attempt from My Tests, and in the question-by-question review use the flag (Report a problem) button on any question that looks wrong or suspicious. Tell us what's off — an incorrect answer, confusing wording, or a typo. Your report goes straight to our content team, who verify the flagged question — typically within 24 hours — and fix or remove it. It's the fastest way to help us keep the question bank accurate.

Open Study Plan and choose Generate For Me: enter your test date, goal score (CELPIP 2–12), and the sections you want to focus on, and we'll build a full day-by-day schedule automatically. Prefer to stay in control? Pick Build It Myself and add your own sessions. The plan lays out what to practise each day up to test day, and you can regenerate or adjust it anytime as your scores improve. New: once you've finished at least one practice set, tap "Suggest from my scores" and we'll weight your daily sessions toward the sections furthest from your goal, using your most recent score in each. It's a starting point — every section stays adjustable.

Finish a section practice set, then open Study Strategies. The Part-By-Part Breakdown scores you on the individual CELPIP parts — Reading Correspondence, Listening for Viewpoints and so on — and marks your best and weakest, so you know where the effort belongs rather than guessing. Full mock tests aren't broken down by part yet, so use section practice to build the picture.

We updated our Reading Part 4 practice to match the format of the real test, and we are replacing the older sets that do not match it. A set marked "Retiring soon" still works exactly as before, and you can keep practising it until we remove it. Spend your time on the newer sets first — they reflect what you will see on test day. Your past results and reviews are kept either way: removing a set does not delete a score you already earned.

Yes. English Learning is a separate set of modules for building everyday English rather than exam technique: reading, listening, grammar, vocabulary, writing, speaking, pronunciation, phonics and a reading library. If you are preparing for an exam, build the foundation there first, then come back to the CELPIP mock tests and section practice for timing and task format.

Every level from A1 (beginner) to C2 (advanced). Reading, listening, grammar and pronunciation each carry lessons at all six CEFR levels, and you choose your own level on the page — there is no placement test to pass first. A few modules use a scale that suits them better: the reading library is banded foundation, building and advanced, and phonics runs as an ordered progression from the simplest letter patterns to the hardest. The writing drills and the speaking tasks are not split by level at all — they are organised by sub-skill and task type.

Most of it is open — you can open English Learning and work through phonics, grammar, listening, the writing drills and the reading library without an account. Reading is the one module with a ladder: one sample passage is readable without signing in, more open with a free account, and the rest of the catalogue is part of a paid plan. Two other things need more than a page visit: the full-length writing tasks open one per task type on a free account and the rest on a paid plan, and the AI speaking and pronunciation checks need an account — a free one is fine — with a daily limit, because each check is a real scoring call.

Yes, for reading, listening, grammar, phonics and writing. Each of those keeps a review schedule in your browser as you answer, so closing the tab does not lose it. When you are signed in, that schedule is merged into your account and follows you to your other devices — merged, not replaced, so anything you studied before signing in is kept rather than overwritten. Highlights you make in the reading library and your pronunciation self-ratings stay on that one browser.

After you finish a practice set or a mock test, your results page shows “Build the skills behind your score”: it takes your two weakest sections and links straight to the English Learning module behind each one, so you work on the language rather than re-taking the same test. Do the module, then come back for a fresh timed set from section practice. These are practice recommendations, not official score conversions.
