So there I am, just walking to the supermarket to grab some milk, completely lost in my own thoughts. Suddenly the street ahead fills with music, and a huge, colourful parade comes marching straight toward me out of nowhere. There are dancers in glittering costumes, a brass band blasting away, and people throwing confetti everywhere. The strangest part is that a dancer grabs my hand and pulls me right into the middle of it, so now I'm shuffling along in the parade still clutching my empty shopping bag. I'm laughing and totally confused, dancing badly while strangers cheer me on. It turns out it was a surprise community festival I'd never heard about. I finally slip out two blocks later, breathless and grinning. And of course, by then I've completely forgotten the milk I went out for in the first place.

I genuinely don't know what to do, so I awkwardly pile everything into my bag and glance around like I've committed a crime. A cleaner nearby just shrugs and says the machine glitches sometimes. So there I am, walking home at midnight with enough snacks for a week, all from one very confused vending machine. It honestly made my whole exhausting day.
